Privacy policy

Last updated: 2025-01-01

Safe Haven Title was built for people who need their address — and the rest of their information — to stay private. Our privacy practices reflect that. This policy is meant to be plain-language, not legalese. The terms page covers liability and usage.

What we collect, and only what we collect

  • Contact form: the preferred name, contact method, contact value, urgency, and message you choose to send. Nothing more.
  • Stripe checkout: if you proceed to payment, Stripe collects your payment information directly. We do not see your card number.
  • Engagement data: once we begin working with you, we'll need information required to form your LLC and to comply with applicable law (for example, beneficial-ownership reporting under the federal Corporate Transparency Act).

What we do not collect

  • No analytics scripts (no Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel, etc.).
  • No third-party advertising or marketing trackers.
  • No fonts loaded from Google Fonts CDN (we self-host fonts so your visit isn't logged by a third party).
  • No persistent IP logging. We use a short-lived in-memory rate-limit counter on the contact form to deter spam, and the entry is discarded within minutes. No IPs are written to disk.
  • No tracking cookies. The site uses no client-side cookies for advertising or analytics.

Service providers we use

  • Amazon Web Services (Amplify Hosting + SES email): hosts the site and delivers our email. AWS does keep server logs, including request timestamps and IPs at the network layer; we don't access those for analytics.
  • Stripe: processes payments. Stripe has its own privacy policy. We share only what's required to process your payment.
  • Tawk.to (chat): disabled by default. Only loads if we explicitly enable chat. If enabled, conversations route through Tawk.to under their privacy policy. See our note in the code about why we keep this off by default.

Data retention

We keep contact-form messages only as long as needed to respond. If we do not begin an engagement, we delete the message within 60 days.

For active engagements, we keep records as required by applicable law (typically 7 years for tax-related documents) and then securely dispose of them.

Your choices

  • You decide which contact method we use to reply.
  • You can ask us to delete your record at any time before we begin work.
  • Once we begin work, retention is governed by law and the engagement letter.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle data, we'll update this page and adjust the "Last updated" date above.
