RAINN -- Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network
National sexual assault hotline. 24/7 confidential support and local resource referrals.
StrongHearts Native Helpline
Culturally appropriate domestic, dating, and sexual violence helpline for Native Americans and Alaska Natives.
Trans Lifeline
Peer-support hotline run by and for trans people. Available in the U.S. and Canada.
Legal aid
Free and low-cost legal help for survivors. Many legal aid organizations have dedicated domestic violence units.
LawHelp.org
Find free legal aid programs in your state. Many legal aid organizations have dedicated DV units that can help with protective orders, custody, housing, and more.
WomensLaw.org (National Network to End DV)
State-by-state legal information for survivors, including protective orders, custody, housing rights, and immigration. Email hotline available for legal questions.
Legal Services Corporation (LSC)
The largest single funder of civil legal aid in the U.S. Their website helps you find local legal aid organizations by state and issue.
National Legal Aid & Defender Association (NLADA)
Membership organization for legal aid providers. Useful for finding local representation.

National advocacy and policy organization. Their Safety Net team produces technology-safety resources written specifically for survivors.

Address Confidentiality Programs (state-run)
Many U.S. states operate Address Confidentiality Programs (ACPs) that give survivors a substitute mailing address for state agencies and public records. Eligibility and rules vary by state. A local advocate can help you apply.

Safe Haven Title partners with domestic violence shelters and legal aid organizations to provide reduced and pro bono LLC formation and privacy services for survivors. If you are working with an advocate or shelter, ask them about our program -- or contact us directly. Financial hardship should never prevent safety.
