Without privacy protections, a home purchase creates a public record with your name and the property address — findable by anyone through county deed searches or data broker websites. The solution is ensuring your name doesn't appear in those records at all.
By purchasing through a Wyoming LLC, the deed shows the LLC name — not yours. Wyoming's public filings don't list member names. Anyone searching your name won't find the new address.
Digital safety during your search matters too. Use a private or incognito browser on a device your abuser has never accessed. Create a separate email address on a safe device for all housing communications. Avoid saving searches to shared cloud accounts, and consider a library computer for sensitive research.
